The TCA has now confirmed that the 2021 TCA Mixed and TCA Goldline Men’s championships have been cancelled. Both events involve multiple games at clubs across the GTA which, given the current COVID-19 guidelines and the priority to put the health and safety of our curling community first, will not be feasible to run.
For many curlers across the GTA, coming together to celebrate competition and comradery at these events is a highlight of the curling season. The TCA Board would like to recognize and thank our sponsors, event chairs (Bill Baker, Gerry Hawkins and Monica Sloan) and committees for their amazing efforts and dedication to these events over the years. Together, we will be taking time this year to brainstorm ideas and plan for these events to be back better and stronger than ever in 2022.
We will also continue to monitor the evolving guidelines from Curling Canada, CurlON and the provincial/municipal health authorities to ensure the viability of running future events safely for all participants, volunteers, and curling facilities.
