World’s largest men’s curling tournament starts in Toronto this coming weekend

During the week of January 12-19 2019, over 200 teams – almost 1,000 curlers – from curling club facilities throughout the GTA will compete in the TCA Goldline Men’s Curling Championships. This is the 124th consecutive year these championships have been held.
Sponsored by Goldline Curling, the TCA Goldline Men’s Curling Championships is open to all male recreational curlers in Toronto area clubs. There are five divisions: Open (over 19 years of age), Senior (aged 50+), Masters (aged 60+) and Grandmasters (aged 70+), and a new Novice division for curlers who just picked up the sport.
The event begins Saturday, January 12 and continues each day through the following week at 17 TCA facilities across the city. The finals of the Masters and Grandmasters divisions will be held on Friday, January 18 with the finals of the Open, Senior and Novice divisions on Saturday, January 19. The finals of all division will be held at Mississaugua Golf & Country Club.
